Bringing Sammie's world to life
What I loved most about illustrating "Sammie and her Many-Coloured Mind" was bringing her experience with ADHD to life in a way that felt relatable and encouraging.
Sammie’s difficulty concentrating and finishing whatever she has started is something many children can recognize, and I especially enjoyed illustrating the moment when she discovers tools that help her work with the way her mind works.
Her journey is a lovely reminder that sometimes we don’t need to try harder—we simply need to find the right tools and support to help us succeed.
